Welcome to the UK Hyundai Accent Club.

This is the place to be if you are a Hyundai Accent owner. Essentially we are an owners club run by owners - for owners. We are a free club - all we ask is that members abide by the membership agreement for the forums, and that visitors abide by the website rules (link at the bottom of the page).

The UKHAC was set up back in October 1996 by a few Accent enthusiasts, some who have moved on, and others who still remain as part of the Admin Team. The aim being to provide a place for Accent owners where they can seek and offer advice and information on the Accent - whether it is modified or standard - all are welcome.

Membership is not required to view the forums - so you don't have to sign up just to have a read or search for something you wish to find out. However if you do decide to register to post your views or ask a question - please firstly read the membership agreement (it's not long but is specific to this site), and don't forget to post an introduction to say hello.

By using this Website you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of this Website.

Mongol Rally 2012

Yet again, there's another team looking to take on the might of the Mongal Rally in the Hyundai Accent. This time it's a new team of more mature drivers, who are braving the challenge in a 2005 1.3 litre Accent. To check out the teams progress, or to donate, please visit their website at www.Team-Phoenix.co.uk. All donations are going towards two great charaties - The Lotus Childrens Centre Charitable Trust and the Hospice in the Weald. Please support this team in the forum, as well as donate to their charaties via the link on their website.

Latest Website News and Information:

14th November 2011 - Time for another clean-up
It's that time again, where we clean out all of the inactive members in the forum. Therefore anyone that hasn't logged into the forum in the last year will have their account deleted. All members should recieve an e-mail with this same information shortly. The clearout will be carried out at the beginning of next month. Anyone wishing to keep their accounts should log back in before then. During the clearout, the forum will be placed in Maintenance Mode, so members will not be able to log in.

9th January 2011 - Forum Update
After a very long night (and following day), the UKHAC forums have finally been updated to the latest version of the YaBB software. So far, the forum seems to be running fine (with a few little fixes and touch-up's required here and there). We are also working on a new photo gallery as well as a new visual theme for the forum to take it away from the "standard" look. Keep an eye on this page and the Forum for details of when these new features become active.

14th January 2010 - Link problems in Firefox Fixed
It has been reported by several members accessing the forums that the links in the website do not work in Firefox (although the forum works fine). I think I have fixed this now, but if you are still having problems please contact "Soul" via the UKHAC forums at forums.ukhac.co.uk

12th November 2009 - Registration Fault Fixed
I have noticed that there was a fault in the registration process which automatically blocked new members from registering. This has now been resolved and I hope that new members that attempted to register will try again.

10th November 2009 - Forum Update
I'm pleased to announce that the new forum is now up and running after several hours of uploading and downloading files (about 30'000 in the end) as well as some slight hair loss on my part. There may be a few glitches here and there which I havn't found yet, but please feel free to let me (Soul) know via the forum if you have a problem - I will post any raised problems in the Site Information & News section of the forums (so please check there first before PM'ing me).

If anyone has any technical issues to do with logging in or cannot use the PM system, please send an e-mail to "admin" at "UKHAC.co.uk" and I'll do my best to fix it as soon as possible.

One last thing - if you notice that the forum occasionally "crashes" over the next few weeks (i.e. doesn't display properly then works fine after a refresh) then it's probably me fine-tuning stuff in the background, so don't panic.

Hyundai Accent Mongol Rally Team

That's right, we have members that have completed the Mongol Rally in a 2000 - 2002 Hyundai Accent ("LC" 1.3 litre engine model). The team have called themselves The Unprofessionals and you can see how they progressed in the build up to, and on the actual rally on their website www.the-unprofessionals.co.uk

Thank you to all members and visitors that donated money to The Unprofessionals Charities - the Christina Noble Children's Foundation ... and any extra money over the £2000 target will go towards Help For Hero's.

Even though the rally has now been completed successfully, you can still donate money to the Christina Noble Children's Foundation directly via the following link: http://www.justgiving.com/theunprofessionals - The UKHAC have no control over these contributions so you can feel safe that all your money is going to a good cause (and not being eaten away by taxes).
